TEACHING EXPERIENCE AND PRACTICUMS

Emmie Ellis' past teaching experiences include mentoring middle and high school students in an ensemble setting as well as teaching and managing private lessons.

She currently teaches private lessons twice a week at Bach to Rock Carmel. Some of her students have successfully auditioned for and joined the Indianapolis Youth Orchestra program. Through Bach to Rock, she has also had the opportunity to form bands/ensembles out of beginner musicians through fall and winter break camps.

Pictured here is Emmie Ellis conducting the finale concert of the Greenfield Central 2022 orchestra camp. This week-long day camp focuses on middle school and high school strings players of varying levels. She assisted with sectionals for violin and viola and conducted in front of the class both in rehearsals and at the final concert.
